Hello everyone,

We are Emanuel and Julio Carlos. We are asking you to help us achieve our goal of competing in the ITF World Cup in Budapest.

We fell in love with the sport when we were 6 and 5 years old respectively. TKD has been pretty much engrained into our everyday life since then. We train and compete on various national tournaments throughout the year, and we represent the USA on international tournaments.

One of our most proud achievements was in 2014, at the World Cup in Jamaica, when we became the first brothers to win Gold for the USA in both of our respective sparring divisions. This year we have the honor once again to represent our country in the ITF World Cup!

Sadly, because of lack of government funding in the sport, and because of various personal circumstances, we’ve been struggling to reach our financial goal in order to make this trip a possibility. We are turning to Gofundme in order to ask for your help. With it, we believe you can help us reach our dream of becoming champions once again!

More about Emanuel:

When I was 6 years old I headed with my brother Julio to our local TKD school. Little did I know after joining that I was going to fall I love with the sport so much. We have been extremely lucky to have trained under Master William Perlaza and Itf hall of fame instructor, Master Ruben Suarez. Fast forward to now, after many international tournaments and battles against other great competitors, I still feel the desire to be great at this sport and give back. I'm looking toward October and I have the World Cup in Budapest in my sights. Ready to represent my club and country yet again.

 More about Julio:

I began competing internationally at the age of 15 under the guidance of my coach Master William Perlaza. He was a major part in helping me become one of the first Americans to ever to win a gold medal in a Itf sparring category . I’ve won many titles since then, with my most recent victory coming in 2014 winning gold, at the World Cup in Jamaica.
Trust me it hasn't been easy, there have been many challenges along the way, but TKD has given me a strong family that I can always count on for support. It has also given me much discipline and mental strength.
So if you've known me for years or just met me while reading this I ask that you please help me get to do what I was destined to do.
