Who knew that at the age of 16, I would be told I could not carry a child. At that time I did not understand how much it would affect me and impact my life, until now. At the age of 27, my husband and my's dream is have a child of our own.
During my adolescent years, I experienced countless tests and procedures. After finally discovering I was born with a sliver of a uterus I had two options, to leave the uterus or have it removed. The doctors were concerned that leaving the sliver of the uterus could become cancerous. So at the age of 16, I underwent a surgical procedure to remove my uterus. This condition I was born with caused me to be without the option of carrying my own child. However, the plus side to all of this is, I still produce eggs. Therefore, IVF with surrogacy is the only option but it is an option!
Our goal is to complete the IVF process and have a successful gestational surrogacy pregnancy. We have been given a estimate cost of roughly $30,000 which insurnace does not cover, so any help is appreciated.
God has laid out a plan for us and our family and we believe no matter what becomes of this he has our best interest at heart. We pray everyday that one day we will have our own child and be able to raise this child with the love and care as God loves and cares for us.
