This is Chloe Alexis Daly! She is 7 years old and she has won the hearts of a whole team of people that are looking to make a dream come true!!
Chloe’s story began with a traumatic birth that caused brain hemorrhages, seizures, and then later being diagnosed with Spastic Quad Cerebral Palsy. Doctors predicted in her first days that Chloe wouldn’t survive and if she did then chances were that she wouldn’t be able to do much of anything. This little fighting girl, with a smile that lights up a room, has proven and continues to prove them all wrong!
Chloe’s struggle has been endless with dealing with ailments such as an abnormal increase of cerebrospinal fluids in the cranial cavity causing pressure and excruciating headaches, as well as seizures and spasms. Since birth, she has overcome numerous brain surgeries, countless procedures that include Botox and Phenol injections to loosen her body tone, and endless hours of physical therapy. Yet, to see a day where Chloe isn’t smiling is a rare occurrence. She has excelled through leaps and bounds past what doctors had predicted! She is just amazing and strong in every way and is beating the odds with every day that passes!
So what’s the dream we need to help Chloe make come true? Chloe’s family, currently reside in a rental apartment. Initially it worked for them while Chloe was still little, but she’s growing quickly every day. You see Chloe can’t walk yet on her own, she is in a wheel chair and has an abundance of equipment in their home that they need in order to help Chloe on a daily basis, not only with therapy but also for simple every day living. Even with decreasing the amount of furniture in their home to the bare minimum, their current living situation just no longer suits the needs for Chloe and limits her from being able to move around freely in her wheelchair. She has quickly become a prisoner in her own home.
Chloe’s family knew that the only way for them to be able to create a living space that will allow her to move freely and feel like an active participant with her parents and baby brother is through owning a home that they can adjust to fit her needs. Chloe’s Dad currently works full time and her Mom can only work per diem, all while maintaining their difficult schedule of schooling and therapy sessions that Chloe needs. They had been saving for a long time to be able to purchase a home, which was an intense struggle with the amount of medical bills they consistently have to pay. Yet, after some time and perseverance they finally reached what they thought was their mark to find a home. Unfortunately, shortly after, the real estate market skyrocketed and they were priced out of what they could afford. The only remedy for them to be able to purchase their home carrying a mortgage that they can afford would be to acquire a greater down payment. Now Chloe has a whole team of people trying to help…realtors and mortgage bankers throwing in their commissions and working for free to make their down payment stronger, but still it doesn’t reach the mark we need for them.
So we are reaching out to the public to help. CHLOE NEEDS A HOUSE!!! And TEAM CHLOE is determined to get her one!! We are currently making every effort to raise the money for the down payment so we can get her in a home by Christmas! I don’t have to tell you folks that every nickel counts!! So please join TEAM CHLOE and donate anything you can spare to make this little girl have the life and freedom she deserves!!
