Many of our staff here at Danny Buoys and Cabana Bar have lost so much from the rath of Irma, clothes, roofs, damaged homes, depleted homes, many have lost everything and have to start over. Between the two locations we have over 80 employees. Cabana Bar was originally set to reopen end of September prior to Hurricane Irma, however with the severe damage to the Ocean Club Resort property, Cabana Bar now has a rescheduled reopen of November. This leaving many employees without work for an additional, and unexpected month. Danny Buoys had minimal damage and could reopen right after Irma, allowing those able to make it, to come to work. Danny Buoys is now fully operational, pending continuous power and we hope to provide work for as many as possible.
TCI Islanders have a lot of pride in their country, with grateful attitudes, reminds me so much of Minnesota and North Dakota work ethics! We have been so blessed that no lives were taken.... now we are ready to REBUILD!!!
100% of all donations will be given directly to the staff to help them rebuild, repair, and feed their families. Every dollar counts, we thank you for your support in this time of need!
