We are thrilled to share some exciting news: Twin Cities Fencing Club (TCFC) has found a new home! We’ve outgrown our current space, and are excited to have found a new venue that we can turn into a hub for training, growth, and enhancing the fencing community. This move will enable us to achieve our mission: To provide a supportive and inclusive environment for athletes of all ages and experience levels to learn, grow, and excel in the sport of fencing
Every dollar counts! Your tax deductible donation (and employer match) will directly support building out our new space with new equipment, durable rubber flooring, an Armory and equipment care center, and a community gathering hub.
Our Vision for the New Space includes:
- Enhanced Space & Equipment: Our new venue has over 5,500 sq ft of fencing space equipped with video monitors, scoring machines, and 10 metal strips to improve the fencer’s experience.
- Rubber Flooring: Durable, impact-absorbent rubber flooring protects our fencers from injury due to repetitive impact common to fencing practice. Fencing is a lifelong sport, and good flooring is essential to protect our members’ feet, knees, and hips.
- Equipment Care Zone & Armory: Over 200 fencers visit TCFC every week! We will have a dedicated Armory space with tools and training opportunities to empower our fencers to understand and repair their own gear.
- Community Gathering Hub: We aim to provide tables, chairs, outlets, WiFi, and other amenities to support fencers and their families; many of whom spend over 10 hours per week at the club. This will be a flexible space that can be used for studying, seminars, and events that allow fencers and families to balance fencing with work, study, and connection throughout our community.
