It is with deep sadness that we use this outlet to honour and remember Sylvan who passed away suddenly and tragically on October 29th, 2025.

 

Sylvan was an extremely bright, friendly, and kind kid, with an amazing sense of humour, and a highly contagious smile. Sylvan’s teachers describe him as a curious, inquisitive student, with knowledge beyond his years. He had so many friends in his school, his Scout troop, and across the Peterborough community.

 

Our sincere sympathies go to Sylvan’s family during this difficult time for their profound and unimaginable loss.

 

Flags were graciously lowered to half-mast at his school and at the Education Centre, and over the coming days and weeks Sylvan’s wonderful principal [whom we thank for letting us use her words when none would come to us] will continue to support their students and the wider community.

 

I know you join us in offering our most sincere sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Sylvan’s family. Funds raised will go to funeral expenses and help support his family as they try to come to grips with this unimaginable loss.
