Suzie Q & Charlie's Road to Recovery

Suzie says, "You don't know how strong you are until you have no choice but to be strong."
Suzie and her pup need your help to continue to be strong.  My name is Tina, and I’m starting this for a very, dear friend, Suzie Palucki; but some of you know her as “Q”.

Suzie was given life challenges early this year in 2021. From the initial appointment with her General Practitioner to the surgery day was exactly 3 weeks.  Her rare cancer caused her the need for surgery to remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit, a 2nd tumor the size of a human baby, 1/3 of her large intestine, a full hysterectomy forcing her into surgical menopause, and the appendix was removed as it was the cause of stage 4 cancer.  She was in the hospital for 9 days and began Chemo rounds as soon as her body could handle it.  She had anaphylactic shock to 1 of her Chemo drugs and was forced to switch up the treatment. Due to the rareness of her cancer, treatments can continue to change.

Her closest family members, her parents, are 600 miles away.  When her amazing family and close-knit group of friends are not around, she has a rescue dog named Charlie to keep her company.  Although he has no papers, he truly is her emotional support dog.  She has a positive attitude; and she says, “Chemo is like an adventure- you never know what side effect you’ll discover next.”  She is expected to be out of work for almost a year when all is said and done.

Suzie and Charlie now have an additional challenge.  He is in severe pain and needs back surgery.  These decisions have Suzie's stomach tied in knots.  For the most part he is a healthy, young dog.  The vet bills are astronomical just like her own health bills.  Charlie is her baby... especially since she’ll never be able to have one of her own anymore.

Suzie’s best quality is making people feel special and like a friend.  She is the most loving, giving, grateful, and caring individual… there are very few like her. She would be the first person to jump in and start a fundraiser or make a meal for someone in need.  So, I’m jumping in for her to get through these tough times with hopefully a little less worry.  Anyone who can donate even just the littlest bit will be helpful to them.  If you can't donate, then please repost so someone else can help this amazing woman and pup in need.
