Suzette McD's Green Hair Studio
Donation protected
Hello. I'm Suzette McD and I have a bucket list dream of owning my own upscale "green" hair studio. I want to create a cozy, clean, elegant and fun salon that is based on the 3 'R ' Principals of Reduce, ReUse and Recycle to inspire me and my guests while creating gorgeous, fashion forward hair styles.
My current business relationship with Leon (at Leon's Hair Studio) is transitioning into new, separate directions for both of us. We are excited, happy and supportive to see eachother grow in our own visions and opportunities. We've agreed to "jump into our (respective) futures" on November 1, 2015. That's in 2 months! So I need your help NOW to successfully start my green future!
100% of your donations will go to creating the salon: utilizing local refurbished cabinets and sinks, a shampoo bowl and chair, energy efficient lighting, mirrors, business licenses and permits, and all things that will make my guests' experience (hopefully, meaning you!) truly satisfying. Any amount that you can donate helps tremendously and will be sincerely appreciated.
I'm researching water saving shampoo hoses, enviromentally conscientious hair color and product lines that give back to communities and forests, and donating to Matter of Trust , the foundation that uses hair for reuseable mattes/boons that absorb oil spills.
Time is of the essence. If necessary, I may need to sublet from another salon in November while the build out is in progress, so I'll be able to continue providing your scheduled hair appointments in a safe, clean and beautiful setting. Updates and notifications will be prompt and forthcoming.
I will continue hosting bi-annual Clothing Exchanges for The Davis Street Family Resource Center
and The Holiday Socks and PJ's Tree for Building Futures with Women and Children , both located in San Leandro, CA. My goal is to build and share more of these events in my new business community (TBA).
.
Thank you, in advance, for investing in my vision and allowing me to continue playing with your hair (in an environmentally friendly focused salon)!
Wishing you abundance and happiness in all things!
