Please take a moment and read this story of mine. I'm not asking for a lot but I am frightened to death of sleeping on the streets tomorrow with my dogs. That is my option right now. I am asking for help because I was left stranded in a motel after my drunken husband walked out on our marriage two weeks ago. He took our only vehicle and left me with no money at all. I am new to this town, I do not know anyone here, and I am trying to hold on while going through a divorce. What happened to me is domestic abuse, and realizing I had nothing left scared me so badly that I felt it in my soul.

My two service dogs, Groot and Shithead, are with me, and they are my family. I need help covering motel costs so we can stay safe and have a roof over our heads. My dogs will be out of food in the morning, and as of tomorrow I will not have anywhere to stay. I do not want to end up on the street with them. Right now, I am scared every single day because I do not know what is going to happen next.

I also need help with transportation so I can get back to work and make my mandatory doctor appointments. My husband was my caregiver, and my body has intolerable pain at times, so getting to my appointments is important. I have jobs lined up, including an opportunity in San Diego, and I want nothing more than to support myself again and get back to a normal life. I am a very independent person, and asking for help is not easy for me, but I do not have any other choice right now.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would help me pay for a safe place to stay, food for my dogs, and the transportation I need to start rebuilding. I am not the kind of person who does not give back to communities and kind hearts. As soon as this nightmare is over, I will be out there giving back to the community.
