Sara and her two sisters were adopted from a Korean orphanage in 1988. She was just 6 years old when they joined two new sisters who were also adopted previously, and grew up in a family surrounded by love. Sara met Bryan in 2001, and they were married in 2007. They both wanted kids, and on Christmas of 2010 they were overjoyed to find out she was pregnant. Their joy turned to concern in May when Sara became very ill and they found out their baby would need to be delivered prematurely. Their son, Graham, arrived on June 1st, but they soon discovered that he was suffering from NEC disease. Despite the best medical care available, just 3 weeks later they had to say good bye to their little angel. God had brought Graham home early to give him his wings.

It was less than 2 weeks later when Sara became very ill again. She suffered a stroke, and things were looking very grim as her body began to shut down. Luckily a doctor finally diagnosed her illness as LUPUS and began the correct line of treatments. The road to recovery has been long, but Sara and Bryan never gave up on having children.

They are ready to grow their family again, but the doctors have said that Sara can’t go through a pregnancy again. They have decided to partner with a surrogate, but the financial hardships they have already endured have exhausted their savings.
