Surgical Education For Our Colleagues From Lviv

Hello family and friends,

We have a new urgent request to you. The surgeons in Lviv are starving for educational opportunities and collegial interchange. I am continuing a surgical mission trip to Iquitos, Peru through the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS) this July for the first time since COVID struck. I am inviting my surgical colleagues from Lviv to join me in Peru to perform many surgeries together. It is a unique and wonderful opportunity to help the underserved patients of Iquitos but also to exchange ideas and techniques in a hands-on way for better patient outcomes. Understandably, the other surgeons will be unable to take advantage of this unique opportunity without financial help for their travel expenses (international flights from Krakow to Lima, and domestic flights from Lima to Iquitos, Peru, as well as hotel stay while in Lima and Iquitos). God-willing they will be able to join this important element of our continuing medical education and humanitarian efforts. While the human tragedy unfolding in their country may have exited center stage in many people's minds, it is a painful reality for those living there and those with loved ones there. All we can do is what is in our sphere of influence to do. We would appreciate ANYTHING you might offer. Your help is crucial to make a good thing manifest during a difficult time.
