Support for Sara (during her treatment for cancer)

When you’re 38 years old and go to the doctor to find out what might be causing a persistent stomach and back ache, the last thing you imagine you’re going to hear is that you have advanced stage cancer.

That’s the nightmare diagnosis Sara was given just four days before Christmas.

Sara, her husband Tony, and their two young children Arnold (6) and Winnie (not yet 2) are being supported by our close knit family here in Australia, but this tragedy is compounded emotionally by the fact that Sara’s parents and younger sister are unable to travel from the UK (due to COVID) to be with Sara at this time.

Due to the rapid progression of the cancer, and the multiple treatments Sara is now undertaking, Tony has had to resign from his job to be full time carer to Sara and the kids.

Family and Friends will be hosting various fundraising events, and participating in sponsored challenges over the coming months to raise money to support this young family financially.
