Help Mohammed’s family evacuate from Gaza safely and survive the genocide
“This situation is the culmination of a war on the entire population of the Gaza Strip—
a war of collective punishment,
a war without rules,
a war at all costs.
The laws and the principles we collectively depend on to enable humanitarian assistance are now eroded to the point of becoming meaningless [...]
Children who survive this war will not only bear the visible wounds of traumatic injuries but the invisible ones, too—those of repeated displacement, constant fear, and witnessing family members literally dismembered before their eyes. These psychological injuries have led children as young as five to tell us they would prefer to die.”

- Statement of Christopher Lockyear, Secretary General of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) before the United Nations Security Council.

It is with great sadness that I address you, but with hope for your help and support in standing by our story. I will try to summarize its essence so as not to prolong it, despite the length of the suffering and the magnitude of the disaster.

I am Mohamed Hussam Ahmed, 26 years old, a Palestinian from Gaza I am married and have a beautiful small family with two young children whom I love very much, Suzanne and Karim.
  • I graduated from high school with a 96%
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • Co_founder tafaseel studio (engineering office)
  • I am preparing for a Master's degree in Urban Planning in Saudi Arabia.
  • I achieved first place in a drawing competition organized by the Mizan Center for Human Rights.
  • Besides, I am a violin player, a visual artist, and a member of the Palestinian Cultural Association.
Due to my profession as an engineer and artist, I am working on establishing a cultural center that embraces talents of all ages, especially children and those with special needs, providing them a safe space amidst the chaos and destruction. Here, gifted children and artists can freely pursue their passions in peace, allowing our voices to resonate worldwide. Gaza is a beautiful city brimming with immense talent, and its children are full of vitality and peace. I dreamt of attracting people from all corners of the world to this center to witness our works and the talents of Gaza's gifted children, who also deserve your humanitarian support and the right to live a dignified life like any child worldwide protected by international humanitarian law and human rights organizations. Unfortunately, every time I approach this goal, the enemy shatters our dreams, as in the 2021 war, and once again, our dreams are being killed, and with every passing minute, we lose the lives of friends and relatives around us.

It is not easy for me to ask for help from compassionate strangers. But I am bound by my duty towards my family as peace-loving people to start this fundraising campaign to save the lives of my immediate family members. But after more than 150 days of this damned war, after the house was destroyed and my studio and studios were destroyed, the house of my dreams, after more than 10 years of work, I wish Your help to restore what remains of hope and passion I have to start my family and my dreams again. I am their only hope of getting out of Gaza to Egypt. I ask for your urgent help to evacuate my family from Gaza safely. I am asking you to help me alleviate my family's suffering and abhorrent living conditions, and to help restore the humanity and unconditional dignity of one Palestinian family. To help me put a meaningful distance between them and the incessant bombing, to save their lives and their future.

The story of my life before and during the war
A person with many dreams and talents that have grown and flourished within me. I lived through 26 years of wars, sieges, and famine. I've always been passionate about the arts and music, so I saved up and worked during school breaks to buy a violin and expensive drawing tools.
I spent hours and hours in my small, shy room, which served as my drawing studio, until I was able to break free from the cycle of violence and siege.
Unfortunately, on October 14, 2023, we were displaced from our home and my studio, along with thousands from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip, without knowing our fate, the fate of my children, or comforting my pregnant wife.
Our new home tent in the Khan Yunis area.
, living in tents in a place full of infectious diseases without the minimum essentials for a dignified life,
I left my dreams and my job and started running daily on dangerous roads and long distances under indiscriminate bombardment in search of food to satisfy the hunger of my family who is waiting for my return, in addition to the queues waiting under the heat of the sun for a drink and the suffering of being transported from one place to another. Whenever I leave my family, my heart contracts as I think, Will I return alive? ? Or will I find them under the rubble?.

On January 16, 2024, we received news of the destruction of our beautiful home and my personal studio, along with 24 residential units in our neighboring area, turning the neighborhood into rubble. I received pictures of my musical instruments and drawings amidst the rubble of the house that I hadn't finished paying for. My dream vanished, along with all the effort I put into it. "Talent amidst the rubble."

I am married to a woman after a love story and a middle marriage
The living conditions are very difficult. Our house was built after years of toil and hard work, and as of this moment while I am addressing you, I have not finished paying its installments. Then came the horrors of war that mercilessly robbed us of this haven without the slightest hint of mercy or humanity, and destroyed it completely.
''Dreams vanished in the smoke of war cannons''

There is no clean water, no shelter, no jobs and no money. My family is struggling to provide basic needs and just survive. My daughter is currently sick due to cold and lack of nutrition.
I live in constant fear that my family will be killed. I am afraid of losing my family at any moment..

As a father of two beautiful children, Suzan and Karim, Suzan is a year and a half old and Karim was born during the war and is only one month old. Imagine the father’s feeling when he loses the ability to protect his children from this psychological horror and the loss of shelter and the necessities of a decent living. Imagine the amount of psychological pain when you cannot find milk for your newborn, or when you are injured and your blood spills on your children every time the enemy calls for evacuation under fire to another area that he claims is safe. It's like dying a thousand times watching your children tremble at the sound of rockets and artillery..
On January 11th, we received confirmation that our family home, which lasted 24 years, was completely destroyed. They attacked a total of 42 homes at the same time.

The picture below brings me together with my daughter Suzan on her first birthday before the war came and took away her laughter 27/8/2023

My beautiful daughter Suzan, who is a year and a half old, completed her first year before the miserable war broke out just a few weeks ago. My daughter had everything any child could wish for in terms of comfort. I was overjoyed to see her happiness upon my return from work, with toys in my hands, and her joy upon hearing me play the kamanga and her innocent dance. However, this war deprived her of everything she owned, starting with the sense of stability and security when we were displaced from the northern part of the Gaza Strip to the south under intense and continuous bombardment in our neighborhood, Sheikh Radwan. Several calls and threats from the angry enemy ordered us to head south, turning that day into a nightmare for my innocent daughter, where we had nowhere to go, leaving us homeless with only the clothes on our backs. Consequently, she began to have difficulty sleeping due to the harsh and difficult conditions we endured, conditions barely bearable by adults, let alone a delicate child. As the days passed, her condition worsened, and she began to suffer from bouts of anger and screaming throughout the night.

The picture below is of my son kareem in the displacement tent, January 31, 2024

My son Kareem, only a month old, was born during the war in a tent leaking rainwater, lacking any form of protection from the cold and the dangers of indiscriminate shelling.
There is no
  • baby formula,
  • no diapers,
  • no medications or vaccinations,
  • no clothes, and no home
. How difficult it is for him, with his 'Angelic' face, to bear these circumstances. And now, I struggle and make countless sacrifices to provide him with food and clothing. There is no clean water, no shelter, no jobs, and no money. I struggle to secure the basic necessities and just to survive. I live in constant fear that my family and children will be killed, and we will become victims of this war.

How the funds will be used :
In order to facilitate the evacuation of my family to Egypt, I am setting up a fundraising campaign to raise $60,000. Here is the distribution of funds:
a. Tolls: It is estimated that tolls cost between $5,000 and $7,000 per adult and $3,000 for children under 12 years of age. There are 4 members in the family, two of whom are under 12 years old. (5,000 x 2) + (2,500 x 2) = 15,000 USD
B. Other fees: Transportation, accommodation, and food for the coming months until settled (rent, food, clothing, and medicine for 4 people) (estimated at $2,500 per month).(2,500*4)=$10,000
C. Rebuilding our lives and establishing a new home and studio:
After the end of the war, we hope to return home and build our lives from scratch, which requires providing housing for me and my family, whether rented or built
Estimates indicate that a family of 4 people needs an area of 120 square meters
A square meter costs approximately 250 US dollars
120*250 = $30,000
The cost of purchasing new drawing materials and tools
$5000
15,000+10,000+30,000+5000=60,000$

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference in the safety of my family. We will use the funds raised in a transparent and efficient manner to ensure every dollar goes to keeping them safe.
Thank you for your support, and I am grateful for any help you can provide during this difficult time. The money raised will help give my family another chance to live.

Thank you for your support, and I am grateful for any assistance you can provide during this challenging time. The funds raised will help give my family and dreams another chance at life.

Help me reach my goal by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues.
