Supporting Malick

As many of you have heard, our dear Malick Guisse passed away on April 4th, 2021. Malick was running errands with his siblings on April 3rd when he felt some pain around his chest and was rushed to the emergency room. He stayed in the hospital overnight and passed away on Sunday morning. We remember Malick as a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a kind and compassionate person. He spent much of his time in service to his community and was always ready to lend his support to a good cause or a person in need.

In the last few weeks, Malick taught English lessons, and helped members of the community prepare for the U.S. citizenship test. He found joy in helping others. Most importantly, he was dedicated to his family, especially his parents. He had a dream of building a business, so he can better support them financially.  He was hard-working, and in constant pursuit of opportunities that would bring him closer to his dream. He was recently selected as a Data Science For All Fellow by Correlation One and was excited to learn Data Science from Professor Natesh Pillai, a Harvard Professor and Chief Scientist.

While Malick did not live long to fulfill his dreams, we want to honor him by providing some financial support for his family to cover funeral costs and assist them for a short while as they mourn their beloved son.
