Help Zoey Compete at Youth Summit in Tampa!

Hi everyone,

My name is Mike, and I’m raising funds to help my daughter, Zoey, and our family make it to the Youth Summit cheer competition in Tampa, Florida, this April.

Zoey is 12 years old and has been cheering since first grade, when she instantly fell in love with the sport. She started with the Broken Arrow Park District and has been cheering nonstop ever since—at home, in the store, at school—anywhere she can. Two years ago, she told us she wanted more of a challenge and asked to do competitive cheer. My wife, Kassy, and I signed her up, and that’s when her dedication went into overdrive.

Zoey is incredibly driven and always pushing herself to be better. This season, she set a goal to land a back handspring, and after months of hard work, she finally achieved it! We were beyond proud. Shortly after, she suffered a painful elbow injury while practicing the skill. She was worried it would hold her back, but she didn’t let it stop her. After taking a week to recover, she was back on the mat full force. To Zoey, cheer is life, and this competition means everything to her.

Her team, Luxe Duchess, has earned a bid to Youth Summit, one of the biggest cheer competitions in the country. This is a dream come true for Zoey, and we are doing everything we can to make sure she gets to compete on this national stage. However, the costs are a challenge for our family. We need to cover expenses for five people, including:

• Competition & Gym Fees: ~$750

• Flights (Tulsa to Tampa, round-trip): ~$1,500–$2,000

• Hotel (7 nights): ~$1,000–$1,400

• Rental Car: ~$400–$600

• Food & Miscellaneous: ~$1,750

We estimate that the total cost of this trip will be around $5,500–$6,500.
