The Britt family connection to the Schreier family began 7 years ago when Janine accepted a position as a job coach for our ‘special needs’ son, Michael Britt. Since then Michael has become ‘part of the family’ to the Schreier family (Janine, Bill, Emme and Hope).
We are asking for your help in meeting a goal of $10,000 to help the Schreier family who have been faced with one struggle after another, and have never complained or asked for help. We actually had to convince Janine to let us start this much warranted go fund me page.
After an accident at work, Bill began experiencing problems walking. He had began a battle with Workman’s Compensation that is still ‘in process.’. He was referred to specific doctors/physical therapist with no positive results. Bill began to get progressively worse and was told that MRIs were not warranted.
Finally, Janine took him to Yale New Haven Hospital. Bill has had three surgeries and had been in Intensive Care since May 9th. He is now paralyzed from the neck down.
Bill has not received any backpay from his employer. The Schreiers are having trouble keeping up with their monthly bills.
It is so difficult for us to see Janine fighting for her husband‘s life every day and trying to make ends meet at the same time. So we ask you to help the Schreier family in anyway you can to make it through this devastatingly tragic time in their lives.
