Help Terrance Get Back On The Road

Dear reader,
On January 8th, 2020 our father was admitted into the hospital because he suddenly lost his ability to walk and was experiencing severe back pain. It was brought to our family's attention that his body was fighting an infection located on his Psoas muscle which connects to his spinal cord and diaphragm. Having an infection in that region can be potentially fatal due to where it is located. Luckily, the doctors were able to provide our dad with the appropriate antibiotics to control the infection. Unfortunately, due to the amount of fluid build-up from the infection, it led to our dad losing the ability to walk. Although our dad has shown resilience and determination to regain his strength back, the doctors determined he will always need a wheelchair to get around.

When we think of our dad, the easiest way to describe him is a superhero. Our father never took a day off from being our coach, parent, or friend (even though we would have liked him too) he dedicated his life to making sure we had a great one. Many of you know our dad as the guy that could hold the note with his saxophone or play three saxophones at once. However, our family has a new image and a new norm that we are adjusting to today.

To make a long story short, our dad returned home after 4 long months at the hospital but it came with a price. Our parents had to renovate their entire house to ensure it was handicap-accessible so he could come home due to the mental strain of being away from his family. During that process, the mental, physical, and financial exhaustion took its toll on our parents.
That is why we are asking for help!
Due to our father's medical state, he must administer antibiotics multiple times a day, undergo physical therapy, and get regular check-ups by nurses throughout the week. Unfortunately, if there are any emergencies, appointments, or simply stress relievers outside of the house to help him, there is no way for him to leave because he does not have a van that can support his power chair. Therefore, our family is in need of a van help him gain some of his mobility to be able to leave the house.
The cost of a handicap accessible van can range up to $50,000. This is why we, his family are in need of a van and are seeking up to $50,000 in order to get back on the road. A handicap accessible van will allow our family to transport our father and husband to doctors appointments, physical therapy, and to visit his first grandchild more regularly. If you know our father or family, then you know we never ask for help, but today we need it more than ever. These last 4 months have been extremely difficult trying to get our father home and now we face one more giant obstacle.
Please help our dad get back on the road again!
Thank you and be well!
