Support Patricia Taborga's Healing

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend, Jose Delius Sensano Taborga, who is in urgent need of your support for his incredible mother, Patricia, who has faced multiple daunting and life-changing heart and brain operations with unwavering strength and resilience. Below you can read her story written by Jose.

Patricia lives in Bolivia, but is currently in Germany receiving treatment which their insurance does not cover. The EUR150,000 goal is only a part of her current total medical bill, but we hope to start at this goal and help the Taborga family.

We are here to share her journey and ask for financial support to ensure that Jose’s mother receives all the medical care what she needs.

Together, we can make sure Patricia can return to Bolivia and reunite with her family.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.

"It all started in September 2021, when our mother first rushed to the hospital's emergency room. It was there that they discovered a congenital issue with her heart valve and that it had to be replaced to save her life.

In October 2021, recognizing the considerable risks of open-heart surgery, we made the journey to a hospital in the United States. Thankfully, we had medical insurance that covered this emergency. Only three days after the aortic valve replacement, our mother awoke and even began taking her first steps. Just two weeks later, we had the joy of bringing her back home to us, her health and happiness fully restored.

In November of that year, doctors found an infection in her body, and they suspected it was in her heart. She had to undergo a tough three-week treatment with powerful antibiotics to fight off the infection. Unfortunately, in December, we faced another emergency room visit. Her kidneys had taken a heavy hit from the antibiotics, requiring her to undergo daily dialysis for two long months.

Through it all, our mother battled these challenges with the help of faith, an amazing team of doctors, and, most importantly, her own strength, determination, and unwavering will to keep on living.

For a year and a half, having our mother right there with us, we believed that life was returning to normal. She cherished every moment, living life to the fullest, and providing support in every aspect of life to us and everyone she met.

In August 2023, our hopes of our mom getting better took a big hit, but this time it was far from our home. While we were on a family vacation in Munich, we had to rush her to the nearest hospital, not knowing that she was dealing with three life-threatening health issues. The doctors found a heart infection called endocarditis, a widespread infection called sepsis that was traveling through her body in the blood pumped by her heart, and bleeding in her brain probably caused by the infection and anticoagulants she was taking for her heart.

Once again, our mom has shown us her incredible strength and her deep desire to spend many more years with her family. She bravely survived a brain surgery and an extremely complicated heart operation in Germany. The road to recovery may be lengthy, but she keeps on fighting. We look forward to having her back home with us.

To us, she is like the rock in our family, always there to support and inspire us to be better every day. And for our dad, she is the perfect companion, a gift from God, sharing life together for 37 years through all the ups and downs.

In this challenging time, the outpouring of support from people we may not even know personally warms our hearts. It assures us that our mother is truly a remarkable person who has left a positive mark on the lives of not just her friends and colleagues, but also those she has crossed paths with along the way.

As a family, we are doing everything in our power to support my mom. However, being far from our home country and lacking medical insurance coverage in Germany, we humbly request your support. We aim to raise at least 150,000 euros to ensure our mother gets the vital medical care she requires and can come back home with us. We are confident that she will continue to embrace life with her unique charisma and kindness, making people around her happy just as she always has, never pausing for a second. Your help means the world to us."
