One Year Later: Supporting Our Injured Firefighters
On September 19, 2024, eight members of the OCFA Handcrew were returning home after battling the Airport Fire when they were involved in a rollover crash on the freeway in Irvine. All eight firefighters sustained injuries, with six critically injured and transported to area hospitals.
Today, one year later, many of our brothers are still on the long road to recovery. The challenges they and their families continue to face remain significant.
The Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, Local 3631, together with the Orange County Fire Authority, remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring these members receive the care, resources, and support they need. This fund directly assists our firefighters and their families as they continue to heal and rebuild their lives.
We are profoundly grateful to our community for the unwavering support shown over the past year. As we mark this anniversary, we ask you to continue standing with us—by keeping our members in your thoughts and prayers, and by contributing if you are able.
Your generosity makes a lasting difference. Thank you for supporting those who risk everything to protect Orange County.
OC Firefighters Local 3631 will dispatch all funds raised to the Fallen Firefighter Relief Fund and distribute them directly to the affected firefighters and their families. Our OC Firefighter board members will personally deliver checks to the affected families.
