Hey friends, it's Jessica and Jiminy. Little Mr. Cricket showed up at my home in the last 2 weeks in the middle of the night and has not left for a moment. I have spread the word all over stating to have found him, just in case someone was missing him. No one has come forward at this point, so my best guess sadly, is they didn't want him. He has a broken tail, an injured shoulder causing a limp, a little hair missing, wasn't neutered, and appeared to have some very messed up little teeth.
He is the SWEETEST cat there is and poor little guy has had it rough. As a result of the situation and my passion around cats particularly, I have decided to take it upon myself to rehab Jiminy and make sure he has a great home whether it be mine or someone else's. I already have 11 cats, most of which were rescued from my yard, so #12 sounds even more crazy. That said, I am going to try to make it work just because I know I will make certain he is loved and cared for.
I normally wouldn't ask for donations for a pet, but the thing is I didn't go looking for him but rather he found me and I knew he needed someone to look out for him. With having so much wrong with his health that comes at a price of vet bills, I would really appreciate any help. I really considered the possibility after a few people mentioned they would like to donate towards his bills.
Today he went to the vet and was neutered, had an overall exam, ear cleaning, rabies injection, antibiotic and steroid injection, SNAP test, xrays, and FVRCP injection. The total came out to $276.32 for today's visit. He has been diagnosed with stomatitis and likely may require a full dental extraction which could be $650 approximately. If not, at the very least he would need medication daily to minimize the inflammation and is due for a FVRCP 2nd injection next month.
Thanks so much for your time reading this from the bottom of our hearts, Jessica and Jiminy
