I'm a student at Pawling High School, and I'm raising funds for my family after a fire damaged our family business, Kai's Chinese Kitchen, in Pawling, NY. Many people in town may know me as the little girl who answers your phone calls to take your order, so this restaurant is deeply personal to us. On August 3rd at 3am, our family business faced a fire. We are so thankful that no one was hurt and that the Pawling Fire Department was able to contain it, but the restaurant suffered extensive water and smoke damage.

Since the fire, my family has been trying to navigate an incredibly difficult time. Our business is underinsured, and we are now facing the loss of work along with the pressure of ongoing bills. In addition to the damage to the restaurant itself, we are struggling to keep up with rent, electricity, and daily expenses while our family's income has been disrupted.

Any support we receive will help my family stay afloat and bring stability while we work toward repairing Kai's Chinese Kitchen.
