Morocco Earthquake Relief
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Anna-Lisa.
My fiancé and his family have been impacted by the recent earthquake that has hit Morocco and are in urgent need of food and medical supplies.Treatment for diabetes and heart condition
We have been together for almost 7 years and are in the process of getting his spousal visa to come to Australia so we can be together. I visited Samo and his family last year and spent 3 weeks in this beautiful country with its humble people, which has been devastated by this earthquake.
I am a self employed beauty therapist and have limited ability right now to help financially; therefore, I am reaching out to our beautiful Australian community to ask for assistance in the hope of raising some money to help them right now.
Safi and Marakesh were greatly affected by this quake, and the funds will be directly sent to Samo and his extended family for urgently needed medical supplies for his mom and food.
I am sharing some photos of my visit to Morocco with Samo, his mom, and I and am grateful for any support.
A message from Samo
I am Samo, and I live in Morocco. Right now, we are going through a devastating earthquake that struck with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale, claiming the lives of thousands of people. The tremors surged through the earth with terrifying intensity, leaving my family and me unable to sleep peacefully.I remember that fateful night vividly.
I was seated in a chair at 11 o'clock at night when I suddenly felt a powerful and jolting movement. Startled, I leaped to my feet, realizing that it was an earthquake. My mother, brother, and sister began praying desperately, fearing that it might be the end. I tried to stay steady as the ground shook beneath me, comforting my distressed family. As the chaos continued, we rushed to the door, grabbing whatever we could.
I made sure to bring my cat with me. Then, the lights went out, and my sister's cries of despair filled the darkness. We believed we were facing our demise as we fled to the train station outside, where we spent the entire night, exhausted and filled with fear. Now, our home is in jeopardy, with (large cracks) threatening its collapse.

We are living on the edge, uncertain of what the future holds. My stepfather, who used to work at a market selling secondhand items like clothing, has been forced to stop due to the earthquake's danger. Our already limited income, which used to cover half of our needs, has dwindled. It's not just our home at risk; my heart aches for my aunt and her children. Their house was completely destroyed, and they now sleep on the streets. It's a nightmare we never wanted to experience. The earthquake has claimed the lives of 3,000 people, and we are among those deeply affected.I wish I could offer more support, but all I have left in my heart is this plea for help. Please understand our suffering and consider contributing to help our family. I promise that when I get back on my feet, I will do everything in my power to achieve success and help others, God willing.
Samo.
Thank you for your support.
Blessings
Anna-Lisa
