My cat Draco needs PU surgery to survive, and we can't afford it. The cost is 3k-5k on top of the $2500 already spent.

On Friday, May 22nd, my 2-year-old cat went from normal to fighting for his life in the ICU. He had a urinary blockage, a condition that kills young male cats fast without emergency treatment. I had no idea this sort of thing could happen.

We rushed him to Waterside Veterinary Services in Myrtle Beach, then to Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center in Wilmington where he's in the ICU right now on IV fluids, pain medication, and a catheter.

The Myrtle Beach vet bill was $1,557. I posted that receipt in the updates for transparency. We don’t have the bill for the Wilmington vet just yet, since he's still there and his care is ongoing, but his total costs are already well over $2,500.

Right now, we are waiting to see if he can urinate on his own without the blockage returning. At this point, surgery is looking very possible. Either way, we can’t afford another $2,000 or more. My credit cards are maxed out, and I simply don’t have it.

Draco was the only kitten to survive from his litter. He was born to a neighborhood stray during a winter freeze where all his siblings froze to death. That broke my heart, so I brought him and his mama inside and raised him. He's been my little shadow ever since.

He's the sweetest cat and acts more like a dog. He loves to play fetch with hair ties, follows me room to room, and sits outside the shower meowing at me because he’s nervous about my wellbeing in the water. My daughter named him and he's also her best friend. She's heartbroken right now. We both are.

He survived when he was barely old enough to live. We're begging you to help him survive now.

Every dollar goes directly to his ICU care, medications, follow-up treatment, and surgery if he needs it.
