Chennai - Southern Indian city is facing worst rain in a hundred years and almost 200 people died and several thousands are stranded.The amount of damage caused was unprecedented. Roads have caved in, and traffic has come to a halt. Rivers have overflown, and spilled on to the roads, there is no food, or electricity. Chennai has come to a standstill and it needs all the help it can get.

Who you are : - I am Kasthuri Thiagarajan, based out of Dallas, working as a Senior IT project Manager in a service company .
Where you're from : - I am starting this fund on my personal interest to raise money to help people who are affected by floods in Chennai which is also my birth place .

1. Maatram foundation - NGO run by my friend who is actively involved in rescue operation along with his team.

How the funds will be spent : - My friends along with their team have set up a community Kitchen which is providing food for 10000 people daily.His team is also distributing food, clothes, medicines, blankets, water, candles, etc to the affected people.
This money will be used to purchase grocery & vegetables to prepare food , clothes, medicines, blankets, water, candles.
