We are the "Checkmates," a high-school boyband-style improv theatre team from Regina, Saskatchewan, and we need YOUR help "One Way Or Another" to shine on April 16-19th at the 2025 Canadian Improv Games National Tournament!
After 4 years of practice, we placed 1st in the Saskatchewan regional tournament and the National online wildcard tournament to qualify for the National Semi-finals in Ottawa, Ontario. For most of us, 2025 is our last year of improv, meaning improv is "More Than This" tournament--it's a culmination of the "Story of [Our] Life" and a celebration of "What Makes [Us] Beautiful" that allows us to "Live While We're Young" in Canada's largest High School Theatre Festival.
Our dream is to raise $3,000 to help cover a few "Little Things":
- Flight tickets
- Instrument rentals
- Accommodation costs
Your support--whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign--won't just create "One Thing"; it will create unforgettable "Midnight Memories", showcase our province's "Dynamite" nationwide, and send us One Direction from the Backstreets of Regina to the National Arts Centre of Ottawa where "This [We] Promise You": we will "Quit Playing Games" and make sure to improvise our "Best Song Ever"!
