"IN THE MIDST OF UNPRECEDENTED CLOSINGS, CBRW IS HELPING BLACK-OWNED RESTAURANTS STAY OPEN FOR BUSINESS!"

From Oct 21st - Oct 27th, The Entire Charlotte Community is Cordially Invited to attend the 3rd Annual “CHARLOTTE BLACK RESTAURANT WEEK” (CBRW) presented by Black Business Owners of Charlotte (BBOC). This year's event is forecasted to draw over 50,000 attendees and has already garnered over 25,000 RSVPs! All week long. Patrons will enjoy 25- 50% discounts from the 20 plus restaurants slated to participate in this year's event.

THE WHY:
Since 2010, In Charlotte alone, 23 black-owned restaurants have closed their doorswithin the first 3 years of operations. Restaurants like Deltas and Loft & Cellar were all perceived to be thriving upscale places to dine, but internally they were in the red due to lack of exposure and high costs to do business in Uptown, Charlotte. But the closures go beyond the upscale restaurants, Mom & Pop restaurants like Simmons Restaurant were in business since 1989, and were forced to board their windows in 2018. BBOC Saw the Need and decided to create a strategic Marketing Campaign to bring the restaurants much needed exposure and drive thousands of customers there way, ensuring restaurants can scale their business towards success, instead of being forced to scale downward.

ECONOMIC IMPACT:
CBRW 2017 & 2018 reached over 3 Million people worldwide on social media, and circulated over $1.7 Million back into Charlotte's Economy. 38 Restaurants and over 250 businesses were patronized, making CBRW one of the most impactful events for black entrepreneurs in North Carolina!
