Hi Everyone,
I’m reaching out to you today asking for your help in supporting one of my closest friends, Andrea. I met Andrea in 2015 at work, and although I've only known her for 5 years, her and her family have quickly become like an extension of mine.
In July of 2018, Andrea's world was flipped upside down. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to her bones. In true Andrea fashion, she confronted this situation like a warrior, with the most incredible positive attitude and implementing many great practices to help her through this, both physically and emotionally, whilst of course undergoing several treatments. Most recently, the cancer has metastasized to her liver, and she will now start 6 months of chemotherapy. Although she is an absolute champion, even the strongest of us need all of the help and support we can get in such a challenging situation.
I started this go fund me for Andrea to help alleviate some of the financial burden that is coming along with all of this, and allow her to concentrate her energy on her health without worrying as much about finances. The past six months have been particularly challenging from a financial standpoint as Andrea lost her job this past May. And with this new reality, health care costs have increased substantially and are not all covered by insurance. Any little bit you are able to contribute will help!
