Support the Thomas McGovern Jr Family

We are raising funds for Thomas W. McGovern Jr.'s family. Tom had been out of work for nearly 2 years with heart issues. His wife, Brendalee, developed pancreatic cancer and is still battling this awful disease. Tom was stricken with severe chest pain in September and was admitted to the hospital, where he was treated with antibiotics, which did relieve the chest pain. A CT scan revealed 2 masses, and he was scheduled to meet with an oncologist and have a biopsy 2 weeks later. A week after that, he could not breathe and was once again admitted to the hospital. A biopsy determined that he had aggressive cancer in his chest, neck, and stomach. After spending several more weeks in the hospital, he was sent home and collapsed 5 days later. He was pronounced dead at the hospital 24 days after his 55th birthday.

All of this has put a tremendous financial strain on the family and has drained all his savings and retirement funds. Without any funds, life insurance was not an option.
