As many of you may have heard, over the holidays, Jay started to experience more difficult symptoms related to his brain tumors. In January, we learned that his tumors have increased 200–300% since early December. His medical team has recommended no further treatment and has given him a prognosis of months, maybe weeks. We are heartbroken. Still, our hope lies in divine love and the peace that passes all understanding. We remain deeply grateful for your support and for these precious days we have together.
For those who may not know Jay personally, he has faithfully served as a youth pastor at Friends Church Yorba Linda and later as the Founding and Lead Pastor of Friends Orange. For decades, he has poured his life into students, families, and our community with courage, compassion, and steadfast faith — even through his long battle with brain cancer. As Jay and his family walk through this unprecedented and heartbreaking season, there are significant medical and daily living needs. Many essential expenses — including day nursing care, medical bills, and everyday necessities — are not fully covered by insurance. The financial burden during this time is heavy.
Our hope in creating this page is to surround Jay and his family with tangible support, easing the weight of these expenses so they can focus on being together and cherishing the time they have. If you feel led to give, any amount will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for loving Jay and his family so well and for standing with them during this time.
