It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share that sweet Beckett has passed away.

Beckett fought a courageous and exhausting battle in the hospital. One no baby should ever have to endure. From the moment he entered this world, he showed strength beyond words. Despite every possible intervention, his little body ultimately could not overcome the severity of his illness. His parents made the most selfless and loving decision no mother or father should ever face: to let him go peacefully.

While Beckett is no longer suffering, Nick and Mackenzie are now facing a different kind of pain and grief layered with the weight of medical expenses, time away from work, and the emotional aftermath of losing a child.

This GoFundMe was originally created to help support the family while Beckett was hospitalized. Now, it continues with a new purpose: To support Nick amd Mackenzie during bereavement. To help with the overwhelming medical bills accrued during his intensive care. To give them space to grieve without the immediate burden of financial stress

The costs associated with prolonged NICU care, ECMO, specialists, procedures, and time away from work do not disappear. The financial reality is devastating, especially when it comes without the joy of bringing a child home.

No amount of money can lessen this loss. But love, support, and practical help can surround this family as they try to survive the days ahead.
