Help us get to World Finals in Michigan!

Shreyansh Kesireddy (3rd Grade), Rishi Kammela (3rd Grade), Govind Karunakaran (3rd Grade), Radha Karunakaran (4th Grade), Somnath Chattopadhyay (4th Grade), Atharva Rao(4th Grade), and Ishaan Kumar (5th Grade) are participating in Odyssey of the Mind Vehicle team.

Devansh Chandaka (3rd Grade), Jaitra Chandaka (5th Grade), Anna Brown (5th Grade), Emma Clark (5th Grade), Manjith Parvathareddy (5th Grade) & Savannah Addison (5th Grade) are participating in Odyssey of the Mind Technology team.

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition that gives kids the confidence to think for themselves and to create solutions to any challenge. Teams of 5-7 students work together to invent, build, write, and create.

The vehicle team created an all-terrain vehicle that transports riders on a race overcoming different obstacles. The team has practiced at least 4 hours a week since the fall. Students put in hours of work on weekends and evenings in our garages. They designed and created the vehicle, props, wrote a skit, made backdrops, and designed costumes. Since everything was made from recycled or affordable materials, they had to test their prototypes and make changes when things didn't work.

The technical team has designed and build an original robotic animal that has the ability to make people happy. In the performance, the Mech-Animal performed various tricks that cheer people up. When it suddenly goes missing, the people search for it and find the Mech-Animal in a very unusual place.

All their hard work paid off, and they won 1st place at our Regional Tournament in February. On March 22nd they earned 1st place in the State Tournament, beating out 10 other teams! Now the team is heading to World Finals at Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan.

This will be the opportunity of a lifetime for our team. They will meet teams from around the United States and around the world. They will be in a setting that celebrates creativity, intelligence, problem-solving, and teamwork. These skills are exactly what today's kids need as they grow into the leaders of tomorrow.

Please help our team make it to Michigan by donating! Registration fee is $3750 for each team. Total it is $7500 for both teams. We would like to cover our coach and team members' registration fees.

If we surpass our goal, we will use the money to offset the cost of transportation and accommodation to Michigan. To transport our team's props and materials, we will have to rent a vehicle.

Thank you so much for supporting the teams.
