On September 3, 2019, Mark suffered a stroke and required surgery to remove the clot. One of the risks when removing a clot is a brain bleed, and unfortunately this happened to Mark. There is swelling as the brain takes on the bleeding and surgery was required to allow the brain room to swell. This time is critical for Mark as we wait for the swelling to go down and allow his brain to heal. This process is long and slow. He is moving along, not as fast as we would like, but as expected. Each step is like a roller-coaster of ups and downs but he is in the best of hands with the Neurosurgeons at Barrows.

Jennifer and the boys have had their lives turned upside down, as nothing can ever prepare you for something like this. Right now their focus needs to be on Mark and his long road to recovery. Unfortunately, life doesn’t slow down when tragedy strikes. Without Mark there to run his business, finances are really weighing on the family. Let’s do our part and take this burden off of their shoulders.
