Help needed for caregivers and expenses

It breaks my heart to have to write this. Mom as you know has been fighting Colon Cancer and Liver Disease. About a month ago she had a cold and that on top of the chemo made her so weak she didn’t want to get out of bed so she stopped eating and drinking causing a severe UTI and dehydration. I live two hours away so I made an appointment with her PCP. Long story short they dropped the ball and she got worse.

 I drove out and had to convince her(if you know her you know she is hard headed and stubborn LOL) to go to the ER for IV hydration and antibiotics. They saw her past medical history of cancer and liver disease and instead of treating her for why she was there they treated her as an end of life hospice patient. They refused to communicate with me for information and mom just kept telling them to call me, instead they just continued to send hospice referrals. 

Mom started to become confused and eventually had to be moved to a more critical unit. 

She stabilized within two hours and was making decisions and wanting PT. 

They put a discharge order in and sent her to a less critical unit and everything started to fall apart again and she is declining. She is now back to critical care and hoping to get her stable enough for transport. 

We obviously were not expecting this and if she does make it home will need caregivers which is not covered by insurance. 

I am trying to manage this and get things set up. God is good and I pray it all turns around. She deserves quality care and dignity if these are her final days. Im not one to ask for help but I dont know what else to do. 

If you are unable to help, if you could just include her in your prayers. She needs them, we need them. I will do my best to keep everyone updated. 

Please hold your loved ones close and be an advocate for them when they no longer can!
