I'm reaching out to share and ask for support for Ximena and her grandmother. It wasn't long after her birth that they discovered that Ximena was fighting an uphill battle against Cerebral Palsy, a condition that has made her life an ongoing struggle.

As her caretaker, my heart aches to see her suffer daily, and I know my son feels the same. Ximena's mother abandoned her after her diagnosis, leaving her in poor health and malnourished, but despite all of this, Ximena continues to fight for every breath and every movement. As her grandmother, it is my greatest honor to care for her, hold her, feed her, and love her with all of my heart.

As Ximena has grown into a 15-year-old adolescent, the physical demands of caring for her have become even more challenging as I've grown older and as she's continued to grow. Her body has become more rigid, and her bones are fragile, which makes every movement a daunting task requiring great attention to detail. Her mood swings can be difficult to manage, and the days can be long and exhausting in Mexico. But through it all, Ximena's spirit remains unbroken, and her will to live remains steadfast.

That's why I am asking for your help. I am reaching out for help so Ximena gets the assistance she needs to move more efficiently and comfortably. An example would be an appropriate wheelchair and bath chair that would make an incredible difference in her quality of life and long-term care, and it would ease the daily burden on our family.
