Sonja is a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who has always put her family first. She is the heart of our family, bringing joy and warmth to everyone she meets. Sonja especially loved spending time with her two granddaughters, Erika and Robyn, cherishing every moment with them. One of her favorite traditions was watching Disney movies with her grandkids, creating memories filled with laughter and love. She has always been active in her church and enjoyed long walks, finding peace and happiness in the simple things. Her sons mean the world to her, and she has always been their biggest supporter. With a grandbaby on the way, Sonja was looking forward to welcoming another little one into her loving arms. One of her favorite things was making homemade runzas for her family, filling the house with warmth and delicious smells that brought everyone together.

Recently, Sonja was at the grocery store getting groceries. she collapsed at the register while she was checking out. There were no warning signs, and the event has left our family in shock. The doctors found out that she suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. She was diagnosed with Moya Moya a few years ago, and now she is heavily sedated and on a ventilator. The doctors have tried to reduce her sedation, but she is unable to breathe on her own. Her family is struggling to cope with the sudden and unexpected turn of events. Her grandkids are too young to understand, and her sons are heartbroken at the thought of losing their mother. This has turned our world upside down, and we are doing our best to support each other through this difficult time. She will be missed by many. Sonja will go on helping others by donating her organs to help others.
