It is with very heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden loss of Vicki’s beautiful daughter Tonya Wells on December 29, 2020 at the age of 16.
As a single mom Vicki has raised these 3 amazing kids on her own and lives to see them happy, healthy and successful. They are devastated.
Tonya was an Honours AP student at Notre Dame High School in Calgary and was looking forward to graduating in the Spring. While she was still considering her options, medicine was the direction she was leaning. And what a surgeon she would have made.
This picture tells you she was amazing, gentle, beautiful, and oh boy she had a wicked sense of humor... and her laugh...she had the best laugh. She was the anchor between her older sister Shayla and younger brother, Derion. She was joy.
With COVID restrictions in place everyone is processing this alone. We can’t cook for them or wrap our arms around them, or do any of the normal things we think we think we should do. The only thing we can for this family is ease their financial burden so they can focus on grieving and healing.
There are significant allergies within this family so please do not send flowers or food. Thank you for those very kind thoughts though.
As much as we would like to send these tokens of love and support during this incredibly difficult time, we ask that in lieu of flowers or food, please consider this fundraising campaign as the best way to offer condolences. You would be doing more than you know.
We know this has been a very difficult year for many people, but if you are able to donate any amount the family would be so grateful.
