Hi, I'm Cindy (Cody's great Aunt and Ivy's Great Great Aunt)
Ivy Nicole, was born September 7, 2025 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. At just 5 days old she underwent her first open heart surgery at Children's hospital in Omaha, NE where she spent nearly an entire month in the hospital (29 days to be exact). Ivy has since be flown to the Children's Hospital in Omaha, NE on December 21st, 2025 due to her 02 levels being abnormally low where she and the family spent Christmas together in the children's hospital having to undergo a heart cath where they found a shrinkage in blood flow from the heart to the lungs and needed to put a stent in at such time, then being released to go home on New Year's Eve night.
Ivy had to be flown back to the Children's Hospital in Omaha, NE , February 1, 2026 for her 02 stats being abnormally low again, she was put into an emergency heart cath where they then found another shrinkage in the blood flow from the heart to the lungs, not allowing proper 02 levels. Ivy was scheduled for a heart cath, March 11, 2026, prior to scheduling for her second open heart surgery until returning for this emergency heart cath, February 1st. The medical team have now waved the cath appointement for 11th of March and will be looking to find her a date for her second heart surgery, "sooner".
Ivy is a cheerful strong little girl that is an inspiration to many but still has a long road ahead of her. Ivy loves to chat, pet her puppies and sit on the back of dad's horses or hangout watching SpongeBob with momma.
