Support for our Sister Vangie
Donation protected
Our dear friend Vangie Alo has run out of options with her chemo treatment. She and her family are now looking forward to visiting the Philippines again to see family and friends with the hope of transferring to hospice care. It has been a dream of Vangie's for some time now to go back and see her beautiful home again. She misses the sweet mangoes, the freedom her children enjoyed, and being able to attend the temple.
The Alo Family has endured trial after trial throughout the last few years. More than I can list here, but I will share one example. In addition to her cancer fight, Vangie's 14 year old son Jazzy is severely autistic. Up until January 2019, he had been without therapy or schooling since moving to Saudi Arabia. Vangie had to become the soul educator for Jazzy. With the colon cancer that has worn her down for years now, his care became nearly impossible. She tried with great determination to keep up with the demands of his care, without any respite. Vangie is a dedicated and loving mother and an example to us all.
Vangie is truly an angel on this earth. Being in her presence is a sweet privilege. I don't know why she has faced these trials, but I do know these trials are not for her to endure alone. Please consider a generous donation to help us pay for upcoming medical, travel and other unforeseen expenses for the family in the immediate future.
You are also welcome to give me cash if you live near me, or Venmo me (@Kate-Ballard-2)!
