Introduction
My name is Łukasz Krupski, and I am a whistleblower who exposed serious misconduct at Tesla, risking everything to stand up for truth, the rule of law, accountability, and public safety on our roads. My disclosures have been featured in The New York Times , BBC , Handelsblatt , Dagens Næringsliv , Reuters , Der Spiegel , The Telegraph CNBC , Jalopnik , NRK , Drammens Tidende, and NRK TV bringing to light critical safety and ethical issues that affect employees, customers, and the wider public.
In recognition of my efforts, I was honored with the 2023 Blueprint for Free Speech Whistleblowers of the Year award. This award highlights the importance of transparency and accountability in the automotive industry, particularly regarding Tesla’s autonomous driving systems and their associated risks.

The Cost of Speaking Out
Standing up for truth has come at a steep price. I have faced:
- **Retaliation and surveillance** from Tesla after raising safety concerns.
- **SLAPP lawsuits** (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) and coercion attempts, including demands to delete evidence of illegal and unsafe practices.
- **Threats of criminal charges** and lawsuits for damages by Tesla.
"11 December 2024 — District court finds Tesla's retaliation unlawful; compensation awarded."
"27 March 2026 — Norway's Supreme Court (Høyesterett) unanimously dismisses Tesla's appeal. Case HR-2026-732-U."
I stood up not only for safety but also for the investments made by shareholders and the public. Tesla’s top management engaged in actions I believe were fraudulent, putting the money of investors at significant risk. Instead of fostering a culture of accountability and respect, Tesla promoted a culture of fear, retaliation, manipulation, and even blaming customers for systemic failures.
In June 2023, my home was raided by police based on an injunction Tesla secured without my knowledge. All my electronic and storage devices were temporarily seized, and copies of their contents were made. This deeply invasive experience was a stark reminder of the lengths Tesla will go to suppress the truth and intimidate whistleblowers.
Despite these actions, I remain steadfast — and the courts have consistently ruled in my favour. In July 2024, the district court struck down Tesla's injunction as a violation of my freedom of expression and right to whistleblow. In December 2024, the court found Tesla's retaliation unlawful and awarded compensation. In December 2025, the Court of Appeals rejected both of Tesla's appeals. And in March 2026, Norway's Supreme Court unanimously refused Tesla's final attempt to appeal. Tesla has now lost at every level of the Norwegian judicial system. The main compensation hearing takes place on 15 April 2026 at Borgarting lagmannsrett. These proceedings demand immense time, resources, and energy, leaving me financially unstable and deeply in debt.

The Impact of My Actions
The data I disclosed, later known as the *Tesla Files*,
revealed alarming safety and ethical lapses, including:
-2,469 cases of sudden unintended acceleration documented in Tesla's own internal systems.
-3,019 Autopilot-related accident and safety reports.
-90,930 Driver Assistance System repair orders for Model 3 alone (March 2019 – March 2022).
-Tesla's failure to address these known risks, endangering both customers and the public.
These figures are now formally part of the Norwegian court record as evidence in the ongoing proceedings.
My complaint to European GDPR regulators also revealed Tesla’s inadequate protection of sensitive personal data, including customer and employee information. This resulted in investigations initiated by data protection authorities, further highlighting systemic negligence.
As a result of these revelations, regulators, including the NHTSA in the U.S. and data protection agencies in Europe, have launched investigations into Tesla’s practices. My disclosures have sparked important debates about the safety, transparency, and regulation of AI-powered technologies.

Why I Need Your Help
Despite the international recognition, the journey has taken a severe toll on my life:
- **Legal Costs:** I owe significant fees to my legal team, with the most critical hearing — the full compensation trial — scheduled for April 2026 at the Court of Appeals.
- **Living Expenses:** I am unemployed and struggling to cover basic necessities.
- **Health and Wellbeing:** The stress has severely impacted my health. Therapy has been essential for coping with the challenges of being a whistleblower.
This fundraiser is an effort to regain stability and continue advocating for transparency, safety, and accountability in the tech and automotive industries.
