My aunt, Shari, recently received the difficult news that she has stage 3 pancreatic cancer. As she begins treatment in the months ahead, she and her husband, Rick, are facing not only the emotional and physical challenges of this diagnosis, but also the many practical expenses that come with it. While insurance helps cover many major medical costs, there are still significant out-of-pocket expenses and unexpected bills along the way.

Shari and Rick are deeply devoted to their family and find their greatest joy in spending time with their kids, grandkids, and their little dog, Bella. They love camping together and have built a life centered around family, faith, and caring for the people around them. Their strong faith has carried them through many of life’s ups and downs, and the prayers and encouragement from friends and loved ones mean so much to them.

This fundraiser was created to help ease some of the financial burden of treatment so Shari and Rick can focus on what matters most—her healing and spending meaningful time together with their family.

All funds raised will go toward medical expenses not covered by insurance and other costs that arise during treatment and recovery. If funds exceed what is needed, Shari and Rick plan to donate the remainder to help others facing similar challenges.
