I recently went through a very traumatic birth that turned into a medical emergency. During my C-section, I suffered a severe adrenal crisis, which made the entire experience life-threatening and left me physically and emotionally overwhelmed. My baby is currently in the NICU, about 2.5 hours away from me. He requires constant medical care, including support through a feeding tube and a PICC line to help manage his glucose levels. Watching my newborn go through this has been incredibly difficult. Because I am still recovering from surgery, I am unable to drive, which makes it extremely hard for me to be with my baby as much as I need to be. At the same time, my partner has to continue working so we can cover rent and basic living expenses, which limits our ability to travel back and forth. On top of everything, we are currently facing serious transportation challenges. We need to repair our car so that we have reliable transportation to get to and from the hospital. With my baby being 2.5 hours away, having a dependable vehicle is essential so we can make those trips consistently during this critical time. The funds will help cover transportation to and from the hospital, medical-related expenses, car repairs, and basic living costs during this time so I can be closer to my baby while he is in the NICU. If you’ve taken the time to read our story, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This has been one of the hardest times in my life, and all I want is to be there for my baby while he fights in the NICU. Any support — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this — truly means the world to us and helps me stay close to my baby during this time.
