Hallo, ich bin Ncumisa Mcitwa aus Durban, Südafrika. Ich bin Kunst-Stipendiatin der Bremischen Bürgerschaft und der Bremer Heimstiftung 2024. Letzten Winter habe ich in Bremen, während meines Stipendiums, ein Fotoprojekt mit Selbstportraits zusammen mit der Bremer Fotografin Uta Beyer realisiert. Unser Bremer Fotoprojekt ist ausgewählt, beim Yaounde Fotofestival (Kamerun) ausgestellt zu werden! Das Festival ist sehr wichtig für Künstlerinnen und Künstler auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent. Es findet vom 12. bis 15. Juni in der Nationalgalerie in Yaounde statt. Ihre Spende hilft mir, die sehr teure Reise von meiner Heimatstadt Durban (Südafrika) nach Yaounde zu finanzieren.

Hi, I'm Ncumisa Mcitwa from Durban, South Africa. I am the arts scholarship holder of the City of Bremen 2024. Last winter, during my scholarship, I created a series of self portraits together with the Bremen photographer Uta Beyer. Our Bremen photo project was now selected to be shown during the Yaounde PhotoFest (Cameroon)! This festival is a highlight for all visual artists from the African Continent. It will be held from 12 - 15 June in the National Gallery in Yaounde. Your support will mean so much for launching this project into the world! This campaign will assist me with the travel costs from my home town Durban to Yaounde.
