It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Morshedul Islam, who tragically left us on June 7, 2025, at just 35 years of age, on his way to his home in Rangpur to celebrate Eid.
As the sole provider of his family, Morshed's loss has left his parents devastated, both emotionally and financially. His elderly parents are now struggling, especially his mother, who is battling Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a rare illness requiring over 30,000 BDT per month for treatment. Morshed's father is very old and unable to work and earn; both parents were entirely dependent on Morshed's income.
Morshed was a loyal friend, brother, and colleague, known for his down-to-earth nature and love for good banter. He was also deeply committed to the quality of his work. After schooling at a Madrassa and graduating from Jahangirnagar University, Morshed applied his brilliant research and analytical skills, working with the JAAGO Foundation and most recently, flourishing at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
We can't get Morshed back, but we can cherish his memories by supporting his family in need. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference for Morshed’s grieving family.
Please donate and share,
May you be blessed.
Note: Mr. Hasnaine Aftab (Apu), a close university senior of Morshed, will receive the funds on behalf of Morshed's family and ensure their proper transfer to the family.
