This amazing woman Melisa was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) in October 2024. She is an absolute beautiful person and loves her family/friends with all her soul! She's also one of the strongest women I know! Melisa has been an RN for 22yrs (ICU, ER, Clinical Research, Air Evac and Administrative).

Melisa's Treatment - She has completed 14 chemotherapy infusions and has 2 more Adriamycin/Cytoxan "red chemo" infusions remaining before her surgery in June 2025. After the surgery she'll need several radiation treatments to assure the cancer is 100% gone.

GOOD NEWS!!!! An MRI on January 29th, 2025, confirmed how much her tumors have decreased in size with this treatment regimen. It's not been easy on her and while she puts on a brave front, this chemo regiment has taken its toll on her. Melisa has renamed the 2nd round of 12-week chemo from the "red-devil" to the "Valentine's Day Special" (first red chemo just started 2/19/25).

BAD NEWS!!! Melisa had a bad reaction on February 25th and spent the day in ER following a spider bite (of all things) on the side of her neck. She was sent home and ended back in the hospital the next morning still experiencing temperatures as high as 103.8. The chemo is doing its job in depleting her immune system, but she's been struggling a lot especially with this new red treatment series. She's also received a blood transfusion to help her red blood cell count.

So, FIRST… I'm asking and praying we take some of the weight off her shoulders! Please donate to Melisa's medical bills and living expenses which have been adding up, especially now that she's been in the hospitalized. Chris has experienced a loss of income as he's been by her side since this ordeal started back in October 2024. There are additional costs involved that insurance doesn't pay for with this diagnosis and yearlong treatment.
