If you know Mary Jane, you know how deeply she has touched people’s lives. More than anything, she’s the one everyone counts on, the fun, dependable mom, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and friend.

She’s built her life around family, friends, and community, earning the nickname “Grandma Mary” from generations of kids she’s cared for and loved.

An avid music fan and loyal Husky football supporter, Mary Jane enjoys the simple things: good beer, good company, and a home so clean you could eat off the floor. Born and raised in Bremerton, she takes pride in the life and community she’s built in Washington State.

Now, she needs us, as our family is facing something we never saw coming. Mary Jane recently went in for blood work that unexpectedly raised concerns. What followed has been overwhelming and fast-moving: she has been diagnosed with leukemia and urgently needs a bone marrow transplant to survive.

What makes this even harder to process is that Mary Jane still feels like herself. No major symptoms, no warning signs; just shocking news that doctors say can change rapidly without immediate treatment. We are now in a race against time to get her the care she needs.

Her medical team has made it clear: a bone marrow transplant is not optional - it is 100% necessary for her to live.

To begin treatment, we are working with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. We are starting this fundraiser at $65,000 to begin building toward that goal as quickly as possible, because every day matters.
