Family’s Story:

Ismail Anbar, a dedicated computer engineer and founder of a technology company, and his wife Najwan, a passionate English teacher at the American International School in Gaza, once lived a life of peace and purpose. Together with their beloved daughter, Loujain, they built a warm home filled with love, dreams, and the simple joys of family. But in a single moment, everything changed.

The outbreak of war tore through their lives, as it did for over two million people in Gaza. The safety they knew was replaced by fear, and the future they envisioned dissolved into uncertainty. Ismail and Najwan lost not only their source of income, but also the stability they had worked so hard to build for their child.

Their story is just one among countless families whose lives have been shattered. And yet, it speaks to a shared humanity, and a plea for compassion, justice, and hope.

Loujain’s Story: A Plea for Healing and Hope

Loujain is a little girl with innocent dreams — dreams as simple and pure as any children. But her young life has been turned upside down by the horrors of war. At an age when she should be learning, playing, and growing, Loujain has been forced to witness unimaginable pain and destruction.

She used to attend the American International School in Gaza, where she thrived in a safe and supportive environment. Now, her education has been completely disrupted. She often asks, with heartbreaking innocence, why her world changed so suddenly — why she can no longer go to school, why she had to see lifeless bodies in the aftermath of a nearby bombing.

Each night, Loujain cries and prays for peace. She is deeply traumatized, carrying both visible and invisible scars. The fear, the instability, and the loss have left a lasting mark on her fragile spirit.

But Loujain’s suffering goes beyond emotional trauma. She is also battling serious medical conditions. She has amblyopia and a corneal issue in her right eye, including recurring infections that cause pain and impair her vision. Without proper medical treatment, her condition may worsen, putting her future at even greater risk.
