Thank you for taking the time to read about my own MS journey. This fundraiser is to help offset the costs not covered by our insurance for my MS care and to try and maintain some quality of life. Specific needs that we hope to meet with this fundraiser are:
Build wheelchair ramps for both front and rear entrances.
Build wheelchair ramp from kitchen to garage.
Purchase wheelchair storage rack with ramp for our vehicle (attaches to trailer hitch).
Cover out of pocket costs of medications, doctor’s visits, testing, nutritional supplements and surgery expenses not covered by insurance.

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month. This is the most difficult challenge Glenn and I have ever been through in our 26 years together. My Primary Progressive MS is fighting my body everyday. When I wake up it is unknown how my body will be attacked and what walking apparatus I will have to use, Cane, Walker, wheelchair, my husband’s arm, walls, the floor. That is if I am actually able to walk; until my legs say no more and quit working. Right now. As I try to find a nearby wall to lean on or something or someone to hold on to. You may say “Kim, just use your walker or cane.” Sounds simple enough. But imagine when you wake up tomorrow and your feet touch the floor and you can walk just fine. Walk all around the house for hours. Except, at any moment and without warning your legs simply S T O P working right in mid stride. Gravity takes over.
That is just one part of this incurable disease that remains a medical mystery, that is still very poorly understood by healthcare clinicians and the public. It is an everyday fight (e.g., cognitive effects, speech problems, memory difficulty, and more). With all I have gone through throughout the last five years it has made me a stronger person in so many ways and a much weaker person. Knowing I have to actually admit I do need help from others. Thank you to my husband, daughter, parents, sisters, friends and family that have helped me and encouraged me in my everyday struggle. Being positive through all the pain and suffering has been a tremendous help and listening to amazing music... “Alexa” play.......
If you know anyone with MS please read about the disease and encourage them in anyway possible. They may look great on the outside but on the inside - their bodies may be in total chaos. I have been living in an inescapable nightmare for years and will be for years to come. When you have a disease like this, your family and friends really make each day worth all the struggle and pain. I love you all. #jointhemovement National Multiple Sclerosis Society #msawarnessmonth

I know we have a large fundraiser goal to meet. Please remember that every dollar counts and your help/support matters! Thank you in advance for considering helping in the fight to beat MS!
