Help Kim with her Brain Tumor Surgery and Expenses

Dear Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart, but also with hope. Kim Rallis, a beloved mother and our dear friend is facing a critical medical challenge that has been emotionally and physically overwhelming.

You may know Kim from her infectious laughter and sense of humor, from enjoying her great love for fox hunting with her cherished family, friends and horses, or from her lifelong's passion to advocate and provide for others in need as an organ donation and transplantation professional. However Kim has touched your life, you know how incredibly selfless and humble she is.

What started as an incidental finding has now become a battle for her health, requiring urgent and costly medical care.

Kim has a brain tumor and will be having surgery June 2nd. Thankfully it is not cancerous, but it is pressing on many vital structures.

As you can imagine, this comes with enormous emotions and expenses. Despite insurance and every effort to manage costs, the burden is a lot.

We have had so many people ask what they can do to help and support Kim during this time – so we started this page. Monies will directly help Kim with medical bills, travel/lodging and other expected and unexpected expenses. Kim is very fortunate to have access to world class care through her connections of 30+ years working in healthcare. Her surgeon is located in Tampa Florida and Kim will need to relocate there for at least a month for the surgery and recovery.

Kind and always putting others before herself, Kim would never ask for help with her own needs – so I'm asking for help on her behalf. As outgoing and strong as she is in her professional life, sharing this journey embarrasses her greatly. It is not in her nature disclose her personal struggles publicly, she has a huge fear of becoming an imposition or burden in people's lives.
