Fostering Josiah’s Life: The Fight for Life Saving Care ❤️
Our son, Josiah, is fighting for his life against a rare and life-threatening vascular disease: Vein of Galen Malformation (VOGM)
a rare, life-threatening vascular disease where blood vessels in the brain fail to develop properly
This condition has already forced him through:
•FOUR Major Surgeries
• HEART FAILURE At 3 Months Old!
•Hydrocephalus At 1 Years Old!
•UNTREATED SEIZURES & EPILEPSY
& a terrifying neurological decline since birth❤️
All could have been avoidable if properly treated.
A Breakthrough In Care
After months of being told to "wait and see" by teams in New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado, we finally had a life-changing meeting with Boston Children’s Hospital and Dr. Orbach on March 10th.
One of the best hospitals in the world for Josiah’s diagnosis
Because Josiah is turning two and still cannot walk
It is standard for ALL VOGM patients to undergo Occupational Therapy, constant neurology, & cardiology appointments, & it was never mentioned once….
We cannot wait for insurance to catch up while his brain is under constant electrical stress.
Our Goal:
$20,000 for Life-Saving Relocation ❤️
From Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Boston, Massachusetts.
We are raising our goal to $20,000 to fund our reoccurring life saving treatment, to ensure Josiah has CONSTANT access to the only specialists who acquire the necessary equipment and expertise to give Josiah the surgeries he needs, to survive ❤️
How Your Donations Create a Lifeline: ❤️
We cannot continue to live like this.
•A Safe Home in Boston
Securing stable housing near Boston Children’s Hospital is our top priority to provide Josiah and Nikoli with a sterile, safe environment during long-term treatment cycles.
•Escaping the Systemic Gap ✈️
Our journey to Boston begins with flying out for Josiah's first critical appointments and treatments.
However, our long-term goal is to move our family vehicle and essentials across the country.
•Medical Advocacy
Ensuring I have the resources to fight for Josiah’s rights without being silenced by financial desperation.
We are finally heading to a place that sees Josiah as a child worth saving, not just a case to manage.
Please donate and share
Every dollar is a brick in the walls of the safe home Josiah and Nikoli desperately need ❤️
