Let me start with I love my husband. He is a kind man who does not deserve all the health issues he has to deal with. He is my partner, my friend, and my soulmate.
To all who have helped us before, Thank you.
Thank you so very much.
I hate to ask but we are in need of help once more.
Josh is going to have the same amputation on his left foot that he did on his right foot.
Last year his surgery and hospital stay was almost $90,000, we had to pay about $10,000, so thank God for insurance. Like so many people today we do not have that kind of money hanging around.
If all the scans look good his surgery will be outpatient and should cost about $35,000. The time of of work will be 6 to 8 weeks. He looses 45% of his normal check each week while on disability.
We realize everyone is struggling. Life is beyond expensive everywhere we go.
A few months ago, I was out of work for 2 months with a major concussion and a kidney stone. We got financially behind while I was out of work (no pay) and did what we could. We did not expect to be in a major medical situation again.
I have said it before, diabetes is no joke.
Healing is always difficult. He has had a sore on his foot (caused by a bunion) for a year that we have been working with, it won't heal, bone is visible, the amputation is the only option. He will be able to walk once again after the slow healing process. The right foot did well after this procedure.
The funds will make up his missing salary and more. The money will go to medical bills and supplies, rent, bills and time I need off to drive him to doctor appointments.
We live very lean, we don't waste money on silly things, life has just taken more than we have to give.
Help if you can, and/or please share this page.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
